It all began on a sunny afternoon at Voonik, when Mohammed Kafil and Daniel Sagayaraj met up for coffee. They hit it off right away, bonding over their love for tech and a shared annoyance with how messy and old-school procurement management was. 

“We kept seeing people waste so much time on stuff that didn’t need to be that hard,” Kafil says. “It felt like there had to be a smarter way.” That chat over coffee turned into an idea: what if they could use tech to make procurement easier and more efficient? That’s where Zapro came from.

With that spark, Kafil and Daniel got to work. 
They wanted to build something that handled the whole procurement process—not just the boring, repetitive parts, but something that could actually make it better with smart thinking built in.

They pulled together a small team of people who cared as much as they did and jumped in. It wasn’t easy.

Finding the money to get going was tough, and getting the tech right took a lot of trial and error. But they stuck with it because they believed in what they were doing.
